Whenever I am in a mood to play the anthropologist, I head over to Venice Beach. This beach is ideal for just gazing into the crowd and people watching. I am sure a lot of authors get inspirations for their characters from here.
For surfing, Zuma Beach and the Surfrider Beach are ‘the’ option. If you are looking to walk along to the tinkle and crash of the waves, try the Manhattan Beach. Manhattan Beach is also a great spot to hang out with friends. It is the birthplace of Beach Volleyball. Need I say more?
Well, if a bonfire is on your agenda, then the Dockweiler Beach is your option. Just looking for a romantic escapade? Try El Matador Beach.
If you are planning a trip with the children, think Redondo Beach, which offers skating and biking, along with other amusements. Santa Monica is also a really fun getaway with its park rides and skating paths.
